Our 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY @ 2/17/2008 08:04:00 PM

Reali Happy to share this moment with Everyone in this world that we r finally 1 year into our relationship liao plus getting rdy for ROM in Year 2008...

Jus want to delicate a poem to Ter:

When years are passing by like days,
and in my hand your hand is placed,
a knowing smile crosses your face,
a simple touch can still make my heart race.

When I can see my soul in your eyes,
and you see your soul in mine we realize,
that a love so deep can harbor no lies,
where our only tears shed were happy tears we've cried.

I love you as much now as I ever did before,
if possible, I may even love you more,
all starting from a feeling we did not ignore,
a feeling of connection we chose to explore.

I don't know what it is that you saw in me,
what I saw in you was the utmost happiness
that can ever be,
even more so on the day when you and I
became "We",
I can still smile and say with love and
truth Honey, I love you...Happy Anniversary.
Lastly wan to say this to you:

I LOVE YOU ETERNALLY FOREVER TILL I DIED!

But still we took some photo together before we went to watched the show P.S I LOVE YOU

The Story Plot:
Holly Kennedy is a grieving young widow who discovers that her late husband, a passionate, funny and impetuous Irishman, has left her a list of tasks revealed in 10 messages, delivered anonymously, intended to ease her grief. With only words as her guide, she embarks on a journey of rediscovery, exploring again the meaning of friendship and marriage but most of all, how strong love can transform the finality of death into a new beginning for life.

The Cinema Review:
The movie opens with a fuming Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank) and a clueless husband, Gerry (Gerard Butler), who has no idea what wrong he has done. The lovers' spat soon escalates into a full-blown quarrel and he walks out... only to walk right back in moments later. Holly and Gerry kiss and make up and the sun shines again.

The opening scene paints a typical, modern couple with their fair share of worries about starting a family, finances and jobs. Holly and Gerry's on-screen chemistry only has that opening scene to set the whole movie aflame and while 'sizzle' is not how one would describe their relationship, it is apparent that this couple share a more mature love that far supersedes the superficial sizzling love in most other romantic comedies.

It is their love for each other - after her husband dies of cancer at the prime of his life leaving his grieving widow to cope with the loss, the change, the emptiness and having to move on all on her own - that you find yourself reaching for the tissue as if you can feel her pain. Or when she discovers that although Gerry has left, but not without first leaving Holly a series of letters, you're drawn into giving your seal of approval for Gerry's love which literally transcends time and space.

Written with love and sealed with his affable and warm sense of humour, Gerry's letters want to help his wife move on without him. The letters arrive in various creative ways and slowly but firmly prod Holly into accepting that there is new life after death - his death. Holly waits with much anticipation for each letter and although the letters seem at first to want to keep Holly living with her past memories, they soon get her moving towards doing the things she always wanted to do, as well as the one thing she wants to do. With the help of best friends Denise (Lisa Kudrow) and Sharon (Gina Gershon) who stoically stand by Holly as she grieves, together they bring on the laughs and beautifully compliments the tear-jerking moments interspersed throughout the show.

The movie explores themes of love - but not in the typical, romantic or forgettable fashion. It explores an area often left out, deemed distasteful and taboo even at its mere mention. Don't we all easily forget that as much as love is a part of life, that death is too? Young lovers will nonetheless peek into a beautiful future and mature couples can use this as a yardstick for their affection towards their significant other. Singles too can use this movie to look beyond the superficial, in their search for that significant other to whom one day they might, likewise, write such beautiful letters and sign off with "PS I Love You" too.

It a 2 Hours Movie in which it is romantic and touching one one sence where the Husband wanted her to stand up again to face life....

Unhappy with W149 @ 2/17/2008 07:23:00 PM

Hmm.... Wonder how to vent out all my unhappiness to my Cellgroup, W149

Lately i been so disappointed with them again and again.... Reason being the following:

1) Starting from last year BBQ, it was not reali fun compare to be my blogger frenz... Maybe they are too religious that they forget that we r all human that we all make mistakes and it time to show supported to one another instead of crtising one another.

2) When i m busy or dun come for Cellgroup meeting, how many of them reali call me and asked y i din make it for Cg instead they will always call and ask u gt come for cg or Svc anot? It that the way to trat yr members in a cg ma?

3) My birthday this year, onli 2 of them sms me to wish me Happy Birthday. How difficult is it to jus to sms one person happy birthday? I m utterly disappointed cos my own blogger family which i know onli like 2 yrs plus treat me more warmth den my own church members which i known for 4yrs plus. Isn''t that funny? Jus like the recently Cg meeting we had.... i expected them to sing Bday Song to me and pray for me... well.... they jus asked one person to pass the present to me and say: "Elaine Ar, this present from our cg to you. hope u like it. " I was disappointed cos isn't it supposed to be the whole cg saying to to me.... How hurtful it will be when they din even mention any ting but jus say get rdy to celebrate Andy B'day. I jus feel like dumping the Office Bag to Dustbin on the spot...

i dunoe... what the true meaning of Christinity to them anymore? Cos they didn't show the way how Jesus will do for people and walk the walk like Jesus.... All i can see is the Ugly face of my Cg Members.

The more i write the more i feel so disappointing.... How can i resolve thjis feeling any anyone tell me?

Movies @ 2/17/2008 06:34:00 PM

During Chinese New Year, i never went for any house visiting but instead, i went with Ter and Stella to watch the following movie....

Kung Fu Dunk

Story Plot:
Shi-Jie (Jay Chou), grew up in a martial arts school and is well-trained in kung-fu. With his kung-fu skills and good reflexes, Shi-Jie excels in basketball by mastering the slam dunk technique. Wang-Li (Eric Tsang), who is trying to locate Shi-Jie's real family, invites him to join the university's basketball team in hope of making some money. Shi-Jie faces new challenges while trying to blend in with the basketball team members Ting-Wei (Chen Bo-Lin) and Xiao-Lan (Baron Chen). With the upcoming basketball championship and the appearance of Li-Li (Charlene Choi), will the team members set aside their differences and personal feelings for the love of the game?

Cinema review:
Kung Fu Dunk" revolves around Shi-Jie (Jay Chou), an orphan who grew up in a Martial Arts School. With his nifty Kung-fu skills, he is spotted by Wang-Li (Eric Tsang) who invites him to join the university's basketball team in the hope of making money from him. There, Shi-Jie finds out that Li-li (Charlene Choi), whom he has been admiring, is the sister of the team's captain. She, however, idolises Xiao-Lan (Baron Chen), one of the other players on the team and it is this love triangle that throws the team off course initially before they gather their wits about them and focus on the real competition on the courts.

Director Kevin Chu works on a fail-proof formula of a tried-and-tested storyline and casting of superstar Jay Chou in the lead role. Supported by well known faces in the likes of Charlene Choi and Eric Tsang, this movie is a confirmed blockbuster during this Chinese New Year season. The director also cleverly keeps Jay Chou's role simple and boyish and the love/hate, romance and other themes that the movie introduces and then deftly hidden from view, so that the attention consistently stays on the courts.

A comparison between this movie and other like movies such as "Shaolin Soccer", "Kung Fu Hustle" and the same-date 2008 release of Stephen Chow's "CJ7" will be inevitable. Yet this movie should be able to hold its own simply by Jay Chou's drawing power. Fans will be eager to see his kung fu skills and to see him in action playing his favourite sport - basketball. In addition, Jay Chou in "Kung Fu Dunk", compared to his earlier movies, attempts a 'slam dunk' in this movie by dappling with the deeper emotional stuff which his earlier works had largely avoided.

With Tony Ching, photographer of "Curse of the Golden Flower" and sound engineer Shirley Chan, who is a Golden Horse winner of best sound effects in Taiwan, who are amongst a host of other well known names who held the fort in the post production phase of this movie, it is little wonder that this movie clocks up the title of biggest production with its $10million budget. However, fans will agree that the slew of action from the cast coupled with the special effects is what will make this movie of great entertainment value and worth every sen spent. While the movie may not go down into the annals of Great Movies, it nevertheless fulfils its role as a great long weekend movie.

Lastly, look out for Baron Chen and Chen Bo-Lin as together they make great eye candy - that is if you are able to draw your attention away from Jay Chou for just a second. Expect a cameo appearance by Liu Geng Hong as well.

Second Movie i went to watched are:

Ah Long Pte Ltd

The plot:
Ah Long Pte Ltd 《老师嫁老大》 is a light-hearted black comedy about the triad world and the money-lending business. Instead of treating the subject of Ah Longs (money-lenders) seriously, the movie takes on a humorous and sarcastic treatment. It depicts how a young lady tries to restructure her money-lending triad into a professional and ‘loving' triad that stands against the use of violence after she takes over from her triad leader who has retired. Her various restructuring plans (which are no doubt very creative) bring about hilarious results.

Chen Jun (played by Richard Low) is the leader of Shao He Triad. The story opens with him deciding to “retire” from the triad business. Prior to his retirement, he elects Wang Li Hua (played by Fann Wong), a young but tough girl, as his successor.

Li Hua believes that changes need to be made to the current money lending system . Although Li Hua prioritizes the triad's success, she is very much against the idea of using violent means to collect debts. Therefore, with the help of some professional consultants, Li Hua and several of her subordinates (played by KK and Daniel Tan) start adopting a series of creative tactics to attract money lenders and practice hilarious methods to pressure the money-lenders to repay in a non-violent way. However, Li Hua's plan of “restructuring” her triad meets with obstacles and opposition from the majority of the conservative elders in both her own triad and rival triad.

At the brighter end of the world, Mr. Fang (played by Mark Lee) is a kind-hearted dance instructor who is slightly sissy in character. Fate has it that Mr. Fang runs into Li Hua on numerous occasions by chance. Since Li Hua's mother has been pressuring her to get married, Li Hua decides to force Mr. Fang to marry her. Surprisingly, Mr. Fang agrees to it, wanting to prove his masculinity. Though finding it hard to accept the fact that Li Hua is a triad head, Mr. Fang approves of her effort to minimize the use of violence. Subsequently, he offers to help Li Hua out by introducing creative ways to reduce violent methods of debt collection.

My Review:
This show come in just for a luagh yet it gt the crtisise from so many singaporean. It amke me wonder y do Singaporean dun support local movie at all? Is it reali so low class? Personally for me, i found it amazing and funny that i cann throw aside my thought and feeling and jus go in for a enjoyable times. I watched it and learnt the true meaning from the Movie that how a young and cute gal and turned into a hateful gal jus by the changing of the environment she is forced into to teach those Ah longs a lesson. Maybe it time Singaporean Wake up to their ideas and instead to crtiise and why not sit back and relaxed to watch this humourous movie. I am going to give 5 Thumb Up for this Movie.

Work and New Job @ 2/07/2008 02:11:00 AM

I went to Singapore Human Resource Management Insitution for my Job interview for 2 times and glad to announce that i finally get the job as i had wanted to switched my job earlier on due to too many office politics in my company.

Another reason is bcos i tink that Work too much and not engh manspower which result in me having to work full 7 days from mon to Sun w/o resting for about 2 months and leaving me no time for Terence and my frenzs....

Lastly is bocs i tink that i m abit disappointed with my company in handling the pay wise matter whaich i felt that some of my colleauge shld deserve a much better pay increment whcih they didn't get.

But no matter wat, i jus tender my resignation on 5th Feb 2008. i will be going over to join the new company in march which i had alreadi put my heart too....

Jus wish to say that if the company wanted to survive well... It ought to tink for the staff welfare too.... No matter what dun put Qualification 1st w/o tinking hw the staff will feel.
